debbie-treehouse-finished-014.jpgThe Heaven and Earth Retreat Centre, was born spiritually and physically in 2006. My mother came through to me in a meditation and showed me this amazing and beautiful peaceful place and handed me a lotus flower. Saying to me that we would manifest on earth a place of beauty, peace and the potential to give out great healing.

Through her love we were able to purchase a property with 51/2 acres comprising of two fields and a 100 year old woodland. We started by clearing the woodland which is still on going and having a wonderful treehouse built supported by 3 oak trees. We have since found that a ley line from St. Michaels Mount flows under the treehouse.

The Treehouse retreat in winter

The land was originally the Great Dowgas Tin Mine, so mine workings can be seen now, covered in ivy and looking very much like a Mayan temple ruin. Under the land itself is a cavern the size of Truro Cathedral. So this is where we have come to be guardians of this land, to love and protect it. The wildlife is flourishing, from badgers, wrens and a large amount of wildflowers from bluebells to primroses.

We now have a thriving Bed and Breakfast in place with relaxing and pleasant rooms giving you the opportunity to be pampered with organic breakfasts. Also time to chill, meditate, walk in the woods, have therapies but also be the tourist if you wish. You can also arrange to have a fairy cream tea in the treehouse or sit in our top field among the bluebells and just be in total peace and quiet with buzzards flying overhead.

FUTURE PLANS

Our future plans already have the foundations laid, with the erection now of a 65ft Poly-tunnel which will allow us to grow all our own vegetables and also allow the dream of a butterfly house to be born.  Where people can just sit and meditate and be at peace.  Green loos are also in the process of being built to help with our ethos of being eco-friendly with re-cycling and solar water heating already installed on our house to save using fossil fuels.

Ian hopes to run his car either on bio-diesel or water he is experimenting at the moment. You never know we might get those chickens, goats (that I adore) and a horse to add to the menagerie.
